Requirements for gluing of switching power supply:
1. Waterproof, the sealing adhesive tightly wraps the entire electrical part of the product, completely isolating it from the outside world; What kind of water, moisture, acid, alkali, and salt cannot touch the circuit components, which can improve the waterproof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-proof ability. So the adhesive you choose should have good flowability. If the flowability is not good, how can it penetrate deeply and completely seal; Furthermore, the adhesive force must also be possessed, otherwise it is useless for the components to be separated from each other for a long time after sealing, and the product\'s lifespan and performance will also be affected.
2. Thermal conductivity is a power product that converts, controls, and outputs energy externally. The work of the product requires heating, such as switches, transformers, electrolytic capacitors, inductors, etc., which are not heating devices and are all heat sensitive devices. What should we do? We must transmit the heat generated as quickly as possible and as much as possible. So the adhesive must have good thermal conductivity, and it can be said that the higher the thermal conductivity of the adhesive, the better. The electrolytic capacitor in the power supply has a lifespan that decreases by about half for every ten degrees increase in temperature, but you cannot add heat dissipation fins to it; As the temperature of transformers and inductors increases, many parameters change, making the entire design more difficult. It\'s also difficult to add a heat sink to them.
The entire waterproof power supply needs to be sealed, and the thermal conductivity of air is very low, mainly relying on convection and radiation. But convection is impossible, as the components are all sealed in the box.
So pouring adhesive with good thermal conductivity can be equivalent to placing each component outside for heat dissipation, not only improving lifespan but also simplifying design.
3. Insulation strength, this is easy to handle. Basically, all adhesives are non conductive, but it should be noted that AB adhesives like epoxy may have partial conductivity due to incomplete curing reaction. And to save on adding sand inside, it\'s hard to say*** Has your sand been dehydrated or processed, and will there be any other elements that interfere with its solidification; Whether the ratio of AB agent is reasonable, whether the mixture is sufficient and uniform, and whether all other conditions are met.
4. Environmental requirements are generally certified. It depends on whether the products provided are consistent with the certified ones, and there is still a considerable price difference between environmentally friendly and non environmentally friendly materials.
5. The flame retardant requirements are generally based on the flame retardant test in UL. The general requirement is 94-V0 or above.
6. There are too many other parameters, you need to fill them in yourself and try them out. The main thing is that your supplier needs to be constant, their supply needs to be stable, and the process needs to be stable. Otherwise, the dispersion is too large.
