When debugging, it is particularly important to pay attention to the primary circuit of the connected switching power supply. This circuit has a high voltage of hundreds or even thousands of volts, and the negative pole of the primary circuit of the switching power supply is not zero voltage. Therefore, once the human body contacts this end, it will be electrocuted, which will endanger the personal safety of the engineer. Connecting this end to the ground together will cause a short circuit in the power supply and damage the input rectifier device. Therefore, it is necessary to first end the electrical isolation by isolating the transformer when debugging the switching power supply. By isolating the transformer, the negative pole of the primary circuit can be directly connected to the ground terminal of the oscilloscope probe, and connected to the maintenance ground wire of the power supply system through the single-phase three-wire plug of the oscilloscope to eliminate safety hazards. Assuming that the skilled personnel use an oscilloscope with built-in isolation channel skills during the debugging process, even without the isolation transformer, they can directly measure without any short circuit phenomenon. However, human contact with the primary circuit will result in electric shock.
